PRAYING IN THE SPIRIT TOMORROW - A CHALLENGE FOR YOU ALL IN THE EU REFERENDUM VOTE!!

PRAYING IN THE SPIRIT TOMORROW - A CHALLENGE FOR YOU!!
      Hello brother/sister in the Lord,
Tomorrow our country has an important vote to make regarding the EU. However I email you just to encourage you that the real issue is a spiritual one not a political one. Arguments on both sides are employing fear as a tactic yet we must approach the issue with faith, what God desires.
The strategy that will make our nation stronger, the strategy that has made us a world player before has been our attitude to God. Only the power of prayer and repentance can see the fabric of our nation of Great Britain restored again.
So I want to challenge you:
Before you go to the poling station tomorrow open your Bible at Ephesians chapter 5 and pray through its principals for our nation for 5 minutes.
When you are on your way to the poling station (walking, driving, waiting in the queue etc) pray for our nation for 5 minutes.
When you get home find a quiet place and pray for just 5 minutes with your Bi le open at Ephesians 5. Pray for the vote you have just cast and pray for the people of our land once more.
Use the text and it's exhortation to pray for eg:
Use verses 3-5 to pray for the moral fabric of society
Use verses 5-7 to intercede for the churches full of false doctrines and liberal Christianity
Pray for God's light on our land ( verse 14)
Ask for His wisdom and His mercy and pray that we may redeem the time given us
Pray for families, the fatherless and broken homes ( verses 22-28)
Pray for our leaders and pray for God's Church.
5 minutes before, 5 minutes during and 5 minutes afterwards with Ephesians 5.
You see Paul wrote to the Ephesians in their nation and at their time and at the close of his letter he shares two key principals that helped the Ephesian Christians back then and it can help us at this strategic time regarding Britain's future:
'Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people. Pray also for me (Paul) that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel.        Eph 6:18-19
Britain desperately needs a powerful church proclaiming a powerful gospel. Please forward this to other believers.
God bless you all.
