The PA has been successful in diverting attention from these problems by putting all the blame on Israel. As far as the PA is concerned, Israel alone is responsible for human rights violations and assaults on freedom of expression and the media. Evidently, most Western journalists, governments and human rights groups have chosen to endorse the Palestinian Authority’s stance that the only evil-doers are the Israelis.
Islam has one foundational goal. Those outside the faith must convert or die. The only difference between radical Islam and ‘peaceful’ Islam is the method by which they go about achieving this goal. Will it be through violence and terrorism or through infiltration of our society and government patiently working at changing our laws and our culture?
In reality Arabs attacked Jews repeatedly over the last few days at the Temple Mount, the holiest site for Jews, so it is barely a news story. Palestinian Arab violence against Jews is a regular occurrence, and as the media seemingly expects the Arabs to throw rocks, they don’t afford it much media coverage.
Around 40,000 abortions are carried out each year in Israel; that is about 110 abortions every single day. Although there are fairly strict guidelines regarding who is eligible, over 20,000 legal, government-funded abortions are carried out each year, with approximately the same number of illegal ones. Through independent research over the past few decades, I would estimate that around 60 percent of women that opt to end their pregnancy do so because of financial concerns.
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has reiterated that he won’t recognize Israel as a Jewish state, and he’s claiming support for that position from an unlikely quarter: former U.S. president Harry Truman. But a closer look reveals that Truman’s words are being misrepresented.
